Voice Alert 6 wireless review

P

private

Just received this wireless alarm system from Bass Electronics
and am pleased with it. ( I especially appreciate the over the phone
support where all of my technical questions were answered clearly
and concisely. No multi-level phone menus here to get to a human)
Thanks Robert... I have a feeling the average Joe Blow
will like this easy-to-use unit... especially for the price.
The instructions couldn't have been written any better. All plastic
but sturdy. All materials are included to be up and running within
minutes. I'm using it to monitor any activity near the front of my
house and by my door. It works as advertised. My only complaint
is the Voice Alert people sending non-alk 9 V batteries. To be
expected I guess.

I have amateur radios for 2 m, 440 and HF and would like to
test any possible sensor/transmitter muzzling or false triggering.
Any suggestions on some good frequencies within the ham bands
to test this out?

I can hardly wait to catch one of those bastards ringing my doorbell
and running away. I've been stretching out my 40 year old legs in
anticipation of having to chase one of them down the street.... as
my hand is on the doorknob waiting for the bell to ring. YES!!!!

Thanks for the kind words. [blush]

Hmmm, looks like one of those all-in-one systems that you always say don't
provide any protection. I guess I should say its even less protection

Simon 3
24 zone capability
2 hardwire zone capability
2-way voice
Paging
Voice alerts
X-10
6 volt 1.2mA battery

Voice Alert 6
6-wireless zones although it also supports "unlimited sensors"
Voice alerts
relays to activate other devices (ie limited reporting)
9-volt alkaline backup battery

"When someone buys the cheap systems they are telling the manufacturers they
want price over quality"
Whatever you do, don't lay a hand on them. Just follow them home (which is
where they'll almost surely run if they're scared) and talk to momma. That
ought to do the trick.

Or they might laugh at the "protection"

We're talking about 4th graders ringing doorbells.
Not professional cat burglars after my precious jewels.
I wanted an inexpensive wireless system to alert me fast
enough for me to get to the front door. And also for people
in my yard. I think it will serve these purposes.

You might want to try even muliples of the transmitter's frequency.

Nothing against you but it is marketed as a complete security system even by
Robert, He usually complains about companies installing systems that
provides no protection yet he has no problems selling them himself
