Video output pins question

Please excuse me if this is a stupid question but I have seen on several data sheets where it looks like the pins are connected together for the video output and I was wondering if this is a misunderstanding or if this is how they are really connected to a microcontroller. Here is an example of what I mean http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/data_sheets/ADV7180.pdf on page 113 where the output shows P[0:7]

I appreciate any help you can give me in understanding this better.

welcome to the forums

they are not tied together electrically.
that is showing that they are grouped together and go on to where ever those 8 data lines are then connected to ... just imagine those 8 data wires bunched together with cable ties around them etc
its just an easy way to show a set of lines between 2 places by only drawing one thicker line on the schematic ... makes it look tidier
