Uniden Um 425 marine radio

I turn the radio on, and Its great for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, I lose all sound, the radio still has power (lcd display is lite), but no sound.
I then turn the radio off for few minutes. Then, I turn back on, and the radio works with sound, and 5 to 10 minutes later, I get no sound, but the radio lcd display is lite.

Is the supply ok? Not using a dud battery are you?

Possible overheating issue with the audio circuitry - has the set been opened recently?

no battery is good with good voltage. I agree about over heating, but where to check?

audio amplifier stages

also check that if using an external speak, there isn't a short circuit in the plug, wire to speaker
if there is, it may be putting undue load on the amplifier and causing it to overheat an fail
otherwise it's likely to just be an amplifier cct problem

show us a sharp and well lit photo of both sides of the circuit board and we can see if the audio cct can be identified
