Troubled mind, energy company wants to implement a spy chip in my house.

S

Skybuck Flying

Hello,

A dutch company called "Essent" wants to install a new device in my house
which contains an RFID chip so they wrote to me in a letter.

No further details are provided accept a phone number which costs money to
call, which ofcourse I am not gonna do.

Now I have a troubled mind:

1. Previously "fags" would come at my house... listen to me how I was taking
a shit... and then they insisted that they had to enter my house to take a
look at the energy meter to record it so they can bill me.

Now they propose to simply broadcast my energy meter information onto the
"street" on "command" by an energy device that will inject energy into the
RFID chip so I presume...

Injecting energy into my house doesn't really sound like something wise to
do... but so far I this not my main concern... for now I will assume the
energy level is low and doesn't propose a risk to me or my equipment.

Otherwise they will ofcourse be sued by many many many people I hope ;)

So the real question is, is it better or not and is it really required
nowadays ? Sneak peak on my thoughs: no it is not required there is a
different solution.

But first let's look at the current system:

1. Fags come into my house. I have problems with that.... I don't want no
fags in my house... my house is a holy place... fags in my house disgrace
it.

2. Criminals could pretend to be from the energy company and robb me or even
kill me for a playstation which I dont have lol.

So at first glance it seems spy chip is better... so they can just drive by
and record it.

However most people nowadays have internet.

Also is the information encrypted or not ?

If the information is encrypted which it should... then they don't need to
implement a spy chip in my house.

I can simply send the information to them via an e-mail... or even call
them.

Actually I already did this in the passed.

Ofcourse they would first need to call me or e-mail me to request the
information.

So quite frankly I am starting to wonder what the rfid fuss is all about...

Maybe it's a secret attempt at injecting a spy device into my house which
does more than just record energy levels.

Therefore I will be vary wary of them... ask hard questions... and I the
answers don't please me I will quick them out of my house and switch energy
provider easily.

Let this be warning to Essent that they might loose me as a customer...
which could mean they could looooossse other customers as well that don't
trust it no more.

I actually did something like that in the past... they ask me energy info
from the device.. and I give them energy info from the device.

So option 3 is:

3. Energy device encrypts information. Energy device display information. I
sent encrypted information to them... at their request.

So no need for spy chip.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Yeah especially with all these global warming nuts out there !

Ya never know where the next threat is gonna come from...

I can read the newspaper headlines of the future already today:

"Crazy environmental nutcase kills "Skybuck" because of his too high energy
bill caused by his Dreaming PC 20XX LOL".

What my energy usage is electronic wise or warmth wise is nobody's bussiness
but me and my energy supplier :p* ! ;)

I for one shall switch to an energy company that is more discrete about my
energy needs... (if so required).

Especially with one eye on the future of constantly increasing wattages for
PC's and other equipment ;) :)

Bye,
Skybuck.

The timing of this is also very peculiar.

I have a contract with the energy supplier which states that they are
obligated to deliver energy to me against a fixed price.

They asked me over the phone some years or so ago if I wanted to enter a
contract with them for fixed prices.

Now last week... 6 january 2009...

On the day of the Russian-Ukrain gas-crises they send me this letter about
wanting to install a spy chip ?

Are they intentionally trying to get rid of me ?

One must wonder.

To add to mystery the letter was already opened and with some sticky tape
sealed again.

Was this a hidden hint/message of somebody in the company that I should get
upset about it and post on the internet about it.

If so well here you go buddy. I hope you covered your ass because if they
find out if it was you you might get fired.

Well so be it... ;) :)

Bye,
Skybuck.

Anyway the letter said the first need to call me to make an appointment so
during that call I am going to express my distatisfaction with this
solution.

What's the world coming to one companies are chosing to broadcast my
information into the world ? ;) :)

What if television, phones, microwaves, and ofcourse my fridge start doing
this.

It's simply nobody's bussiness what I am watching on my tv, or what I am
talking about on my phone.. or what I am frying inside my microwave or what
is inside my fridge.

So I have a couple of words on my mind for them:

**** YOU :)

and

**** THAT ;) :)

Bye,
Skybuck.

Get an old 750/1000 Watt microwave oven from the junkcollector. Remove the
transmitter. Place transmitter about 1 foot (30 cm) away from RFID. Plug in
full blast for 6-7 minutes. Return junk to junkcollector. Next "problem" a
visit from Essent who will want to install another RFID and how to send
Essent packing.

The telephone call did not happen, instead today a man came at the door.
The same man I sent away because of you know what...

Anyway he said he wanted to install the new circuit board.

I asked him to come in for a moment.

Then I asked him to show me the circuit board first.

This is how it looked like:

An antenna of 5 centimeters.

A silver thing which said 3.3 ghz on it. Probably the transmitting frequency
? But for receiving, sending or both ?

Sounds pretty high and dangerous ;)

He said it needed batteries, but he never showed me the batteries and I
didn't ask... I should have taken a picture of it to show you guys...

Anyway I asked him a couple of "though" questions:

1. Question: Where/what is the rf chip ?

Answer: He didn't know.

2. Question: What is the distance it can be read ?

Answer: He didn't know, he said maybe the office building hundreds of meters
away.

3. Question: I am the first to refuse ?

Answer: Yes, he already installed these circuit boards in hundreds of homes.

So the bottom line is he knew absolutely nothing about the circuit and he
only knew how to remove/install it.

For me this is unacceptable.

Also it slightly worrieing to know there are know hundreds maybe even
thousands of homes/appartment all with this "sending" device inside...

God knows what's gonna happen when they are all triggered at the same time.

Also who knows what kind of information it's broadcasting.

Last question of me:

4. Question: Will they still come check at my home manually ?

Answer: He didn't know... He said: "I shall tell them you refused... and
then I guess they will contact you to make an appointment (?)"

So there ya have it folks ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

Here a little document about RF risks:

https://www.nationalgridus.com/niagaramohawk/attachments/non_html/rf_procedure.pdf

So far it says:

30 to 300 MHz is most dangerous.

I wonder though... what if all these 3.3 ghz things are working together ?

Also the 30 to 300 MHz seems to be related to the station sending the energy
?

Apperently this company is going to send energy through the air.

I wonder how much energy is going through the air every minute.

I am start to wonder if I should equip all my walls and windows with
aluminium to get rid of all this energy and to prevent cancer from
developing.

However I have read there is a risk to using aluminium to shield... the
energy signals could start to bounce inside the aluminium cage increasing
danger.

So first I would need a device to measure how much energy there is to be
sure I am not frying myself ;)

Then if it works I will have the last laugh...

I will become 150 years old while the rest will get cancer and die.

Also I have the pleasure of maybe disturbing their stupid unimportant cell
calls ;) :) and wifi shit.

LOL.

Bye,
Skybuck ;)

At 30 to 300 MHz, the concern is more that you'll get cooked from the
inside out. Given the square law effect, you'd have to be close to a
moderately high power transmitter for this to beging to be a problem.

See this usenet-thread of mine as well:

"Heating-spy-chip usefull for burglars".

Burglars could now detect when you're on holiday... since you're heating
might be turned low to safe money.

So now do you not only have to let your lights burning but your heating too
if you have one of these spy chips installed.

Not me ofcourse ;) :)

Skybuck.
