The Australian Broadband Survey for 2011

D

Don McKenzie

The Australian Broadband Survey for 2011 was conducted over a four week period — from 1 January 2011 to 1 February 2011,
during which the survey was successfully completed and verified a total of 23,513 times.

As this was an open survey, we have been extremely rigourous about maintaining data integrity. Therefore we have only
considered submissions that had been validated, and have also carefully identified and eliminated instances of ballot
stuffing.

When you read the results, it's important to keep in mind who was surveyed. These results largely represent the views of
informed opinion leaders, and informed consumers. We have not attempted to normalise the results to represent the
broader marketplace, as we believe the information to be more valuable with this bias intact.

The group surveyed are more likely to be advising friends, family and co-workers on technology decisions. Service
providers should pay close attention to this demographic, as their influence wields significant impact.

It's the correct survey as it was put up on WP's Industry News web page
just a few days ago.

I took part in the survey when it was put up on WP recently, so I think
that obvious thing is that somebody at WP has created a link for the
2011 survey and stuffed up the year.

I put a note on the WP comment section to tell them about it.

yes thanks is correct, and very informative.
Must have taken some time to fill out the questionnaire.

Here is one that reads correctly, but if they change it, this will be broken also.

Sometimes it pays to bite your lip and wear it, as I'm sure thousands will now have the link as written.

Cheers Don...
