Target Navtex Pro weather receiver approx. 1992.

Hi, First time on forum. This marine unit works ok except the backlight LED has quit the game. There is a 12v feed to the circuit board, but it looks like a Resistor and possibly the led are defunk. Also when the feed is live for this backlight - the screen gets warm. I am not into electronics myself, but would value how to identify the 2 possible culprits and where to obtain the parts for replacement. many thanks.
