Substituting a Capacitor

I am building a circuit that requires a 470 nf capacitor.

I don't have one. I do have a box of capacitors that has: 100 UF. 470UF 47UF 220UF 10UF 22UF with varying voltages. These are the cilinder type of capacitors that have a - and + polalrity.

I alos have a small bag of mixed capacitors. These are the little beige round heads. They have numbers stamped on them, like 10, 221, 7, 1, 151,

Can any of these be used to substitute for the 470 nf?

Hello,

Those round capacitors will likely be small ceramic capacitors.
You can "decode" the value using the following pages:

https://www.circuitspedia.com/how-to-read-ceramic-capacitor-code-value-104-chart/

An 470 nF would have a code 474 on it.

Nano-Farads are nF. Micro-Farads are uF. 1uF is 1000 times more than 1nF.
Your 47uF capacitor is 100 times more than the 470nF that you need.
