A friend gave me a Sony Bravia LCD TV that "turns on, but no picture".
I turned it on, and it gave a Main Board code. I replaced the main board, and it goes on with a beautiful picture for about 3-5 minutes, then turns off. Then it gives the TCON board code.
I updated the firmware to the latest version. I have tried two used replacement main boards.
The original [bad] board in the TV is labeled A1506072C.
I replaced it with a board that appears to have more components on it (an additional USB port and ethernet jack) A1506066C
When that didn't work, I tried another A1506072C
I don't want to keep throwing parts at it. Is there something I am overlooking?
I don't think it is the TCON board, because the picture is fine with both replacement boards.
Could it be the replacement board was from a 46" TV and this is a 52"?
Any help is appreciated!
