Simulation of photodiode amplifier (was: Amplifier.Detection smoke.)

Hello,

My name is Dragos.I am beginner in simulation S.P.I.C.E.. and I use the simulator Micro-CAP 12, to simulate an electric schematic.
I want to simulate the phototransistor PIN InGaAs IG17-series and to monitor grafically the rectangular electrical impulse, at an amplitude of a few volts generated by the photodiode depending on a period of time in ns.
Please give me any advice.I do not know how to begin. I will attach a picture with the electric schematic.

Thank you for understanding,
Dragos.

Hello Dragos,
the title of your thread is a bit misleading. You should include that it is about simulating in SPICE. I can change that for you, if you wish, e.g. "Simulation of photodiode amplifier".

Please give me any advice.I do not know how to begin. I will attach a picture with the electric schematic.
You already made a good start by creating a schematic. Where exactly are you stuck?

Yes, of course, I accept the title to be changed.I do not know how to create grafically the rectangular electrical impulse, at an amplitude of a few volts generated by the photodiode depending on a period of time in ns.

It is not about accepting a change I'd force onto you. A well chosen title is much more likely to attract the right member on the forum to assist.
I changed the title as proposed. If you do not like it, I can change it back.

how to create grafically the rectangular electrical impulse
An electrical pulse s created e.g. by a voltage source or a current source with the 'pulse' waveform.
Since a SPICE based simulator cannot (as far as I know) simulate light falling onto a photodiode, you'll have to model the photodiode by a diode with a parallel current source, which is how it works in this circuit. The current source is then given the pulse waveform, timing and amplitude corresponding to the expected current from the real photodiode. Spectrum software explains the modeling of the photodiode for micro-cap 12 on this page. How to set up a current source for the desired waveform you'll find in the manual or micro-cap help.
