I'm looking at this TV for a friend of mine. It's a Sharp LCD 42" TV LC-42SB45U and on about a third of the screen the colors take forever to fade. They just layer on top of each other.
To make a long story short, I took off the back cover, powered on the TV and was able to correct the issue temporarily by gently twisting the screen. By that I mean pushing the top left corner of the TV back and pulling the top right corner forward.
This makes me think that there's a bad connection where the display board goes into the LCD panel itself. My question is, are there any repairable parts there, or does it just need a new LCD panel?
