Selecting component values for this power supply circuit?

Hello,

I would like to build myself a bench power supply off of the following circuit:

http://community.em.avnet.com/t5/Power/Current-Limit-Circuit-for-Voltage-Regulator/td-p/655

I am considering using an LM2576-Adj, and have an adjustable voltage AND adjustable current limit. Roughly 2-15V and 0-2A will do the trick.

I'm kind of at a loss for where to start on this. It looks well designed, but it has a 'theoretical' description.

There are two sets of Ra1 and Ra2 voltage dividers. Does one set the output voltage and does one set the current limit? If so, which does which? How should I chose the value of the current sense resistor and other resistors?

I know this is a big question. Don't answer it if you don't want to. ;)

Thank you.

That circuit is missing some critical elements, so I wouldn't consider it.

If I were you, I would take a look at the datasheet for the device and see what options it includes (you won't find a current limit).

Then, once you understand the requirements for the variable voltage part of the supply, take a look at your options for adding a current limit.
