Schematic drawing utilities

With most electronics being disposable and non repairable, I find myself needing to reverse engineer more lately. Looking for some good resources that are free and allow you to draw decent schematics
with a selection of pre-dfeined components, or other neat features. I was recommended Kicad
and it seems to do alot, but its hard to get the hang of and a little awkward. Anyone have good results with any others?

There are many tutorials, PDF, Utube etc for KiCad also the KiCad forum if needed.
There is a bit of a learning curve, but worth it IMO if you stick with it.
