Sceptre LCD 19" issue

Hello all and thanks for reading. I have a Sceptre 19" lcd screen the will not stay on. It immediately turns off after coming up. The unit has 2 lights top and bottom that turn off simultaineously after a second. Hit the power button again and it repeats. In the second it is lit up you can see the screen and everything looks normal then off she goes again. There are no signs of blown caps on the PS. The friend i got it from was not running surge protection and has a home built in the 50's. The power supply is not as complicated as a PC's as far as number of pieces on it. I was thinking it might be the flyback or there is a HJC MKP-X2 310-250v ceramic resistor right off the plug in block? Any ideas are appriciated.

I've got a Nec 15 inch that was doing the same thing. Changed 4 or 5 caps and now it works just fine. About $12. Hope this is some help
