Saving wear and tear at the plug in

I've seen it somewhere -- or I dreamt it. A connector that stays in the charging plug on my Amazon Fire 7, and I would plug in my charger cord into this connector every night and unplug in the morning. Saves wear and tear on the plug in that has now faulted after 3 years. Know where I can find this?

I have been using a magnetic micro USB adapter similar to this one for years. The little micro USB end stays in the smartphone or in your case the kindle. The cable attaches magnetically. The little USB end is unobtrusive (imho better than a lose cable end dangling from the device). The micro USB adapters sits rather tight in the socket. I haven't lost one so far.
I noticed there are small differences in mechanical dimensions between similar looking adapters from different vendors. Should you venture to use multiple devices with this solution, I recommend you buy a few of these adapters all from the same make to allow easy swapping of cables.
