Hi guys n gals,
I spontaneously hit the ‘Buy it now’ button. What have I done?.
The listing seems legitimate but has so many questionable details.
It says the item is shipped from Leicester (UK) 3 days delivery. Other items they are selling are shipped from Glasgow (UK). I did a thorough search of the seller after buying it and the seller location is China. The telephone number is +1 which appears to be USA country code.The description is Hantek but further reading says unbranded.
At £49.99 I will either receive an expensive picture or an extremely cheap 4ch DSO. Or nothing at all...

The one good thing about Ebay is that the seller has to provide a estimated delivery date, if not delivered in time you can claim a refund from the vender by opening a dispute with ebay, I have had a few non-deliveries from China and ebay has settled it quite fast.
Also, there are a few sellers on ebay that list U.S. etc as point of origin but lie.
Not sure why Ebay does not police it!

Hard to say which way that will go but obviously incorrect.
Below is the same scope listing in Aus from Hong Kong at just under AU$1,000.00.
Looking at your listing and comparing the price to here, I'd say someone put the decimal point in the wrong place.
You could be lucky if UK law is similar to Aus where they have to sell at any advertised price but in my experience, they realise their mistake and the item never arrives.
So begins the process of credit application.
Here's hoping you paid via paypal or similar.

Yes I paid with Paypal. And you are probably right about the decimal point!.
I messaged the seller asking where it will be shipped from and to be honest with me. I got an automated responce saying they are closed for the weekend and they’ll be back on Monday. UK law has to sell at the advertised price but only within the UK. Fingers crossed.
If a picture does arrive, I’ll frame it. It’ll be my most expensive picture..
Keep you posted when I have some news.

Got a message from the seller saying they were about to ship it to me when they noticed it was damaged and also the last one in stock.

actually when try to ship your item and check the item before shipment,
We just find the last one in stock is not in good condition

Now how about i refund you all as compensation so that you could buy it earlier from other seller?

Also if it’s the last one, why does the original listing say more than 10 available yesterday?...

I just giggled at him saying he is an honest seller and can’t send it in it’s condition with more than 10 available still.
Oh well, no scope for xmas. Just a refund as compensation.....

mmmmm..... could see that on the cards...

Had the exact same happen when I saw a car dvr for $4.00 and clicked on "buy it now".
Never arrived and when queried, same response.

Worst one ever was a $20.00 part ordered and what arrived was a small cardboard "wedding ring" box with a ribbon tied around it.
Now THAT was a concern.
Thankfully it was Paypal and my money was soon returned.
I didn't see that one coming .
