Fixing it would require that we actually test drivers and require that

About 40% of every driver on US (maybe worldwide)roads is incompetent
for the task.

It should be required that a STUDENT (while the brain is still growing)
take 2 YEARS of driver ethics courses BEFORE the driver training course,
and BEFORE they are EVER permitted to actually sit in the driver's
position in the car.

The problem is lame, lackadaisical governments that simply hand out a
license to any fuckhead. Mainly so they can then use the retarded
piggery to suck cash out of the dopes that are so bad at it that they
actually endanger others. So much for the safety of those of us that DO
know how to drive and DO deserve to retain a license to do so.

About 30% of cops don't know how to fucking drive either. The ones

Look closely at google maps above. It appears that if you're not
expecting the sudden 160deg turn, you'll do exactly what the Mercury
News described: sail across the winery driveway and hit a tree. (I'm
assuming I have the correct spot here, and he was coming from the
south.) At that location, I wonder what the warning signs and
guardrails look like. Or if there are any.

We don't have google earth here at work, so I can't check whether the
highway was downhill at that point.

How would one access the accident records for a location? Find out
whether it's a "death curve" or not?

Since this occurred in calif. you could start with "TASAS" in a search
engine. But this is not on a State highway, you would use this to
find/get to the local accident databases.

I can recall seeing Bob, all dressed out in lederhosen and backpack,
