Repurposing an old Hauppage! Capture Rocket

Hi all, I am wanting to repurpose an unused Hauppage! Video Capture Rocket (a capture card) as some sort of input device or macro key for my PC (I would like to use the big red button specifically), yet I am unaware about how to do this. Would their be an easy way of doing this through software? Or can it not be done?
