Repairing PCB damage when surrounding components have been burned

Good morning,
I have a PCB from a LCD television with a burned Mosfet that also toasted a few small SMD components around it to the point they are completely unidentifiable.

If the schematic is not available, how do you handle these situations? Guess or Mathematics or what?

Use some IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to thoroughly clean the area first.
You may then be able to identify the components.
Also look for reference designators on the PCB.
I doubt you’ll find a schematic as companies don’t hand them out, but it’s worth an internet search.
