Recommendations for a keyless entry system

B

Beachcomber

Looking for a keyless entry system for an industrial/office building
Here are the details.

4000 sq ft. for about 10 employees

4 doors total =

2 front doors 1 rear door 1 interior office door

Each controlled by Wiegand format Proximity Readers

Exterior front door and exterior rear door to be controlled by
proximity/keypad reader combination.

Desire battery backup, logging, PC interface for programming.

I realize that this simple spec could be met by dozens of
manufactures. I am looking your specific recommendations for the
best value, ease-of-installation, pricing, and service support.

Thanks!

i would go fo digiplex NE alarm panel From paradox with the NEware software
www.paradox.ca

this would give you both alarm system and access control in a single system
totally integrated ,with room for arming/disarming with or with out access
card..multiple partition office /warehouse

Do NOT consider DSC Maxsys product - their card reader modules have faulty
request-to-exit logic that will cause you no end of grief if you try to use
it in a 24-hour scenario. DSC has acknowledged the shortcoming and refused
to fix it. If you choose to ignore my advise, I have a system that I ended
up tearing out and replacing (at significant cost) that I'd let go of for a
real deal.

Thanks. This is the sort of trouble I'm hoping to avoid.

So does anyone have any recommendations for a system that does work
well?

Is this a short-term solution you're looking for, or something as a dealer
you want to live with long term?

This would be for the long haul. I'm hoping not to need lots of
warranty service and replacing of faulty parts. I'd like to do the
install right the first time...

send me an email and I'll give you some information to look at, and explain
it more in depth, without turning the post into a flame war.
