What is the best chemical for cleaning CRT and anode? after cleansing the CRT is there any product that applied protect from cracks in the crt caused by moisture and dust?

Don't know about the cleaning but I'm certain the techs used to use silicon grease around the ht lead cap into the tube.

What is the function of the silicone grease? Does it prevent popping in the tube caused by moisture and dust?

when placing the screwdriver to scratch the tube damages?

What is the function of the silicone grease?

Tends to stop the HV tracking out from under the probe cap across the dust on the tube.

May come by other names such as anti-tracking or dielectric grease.

Can't comment on any damage you may have done with a screwdriver, just try it and see.

Can use Isopropyl Alcohol
for CRT cleaning?
Does isopropyl alcohol damage glass and varnish on the crt?

Electro-Cleaner aka Contact Cleaner or similar fast-drying solvents work well.
Not sure if this is chemically 'Isopropyl Alcohol'.
Pre-brush / vacuum to remove excess dust.
Spray on liberally.
Wipe off with a soft cloth.
Safe to use, in well ventilated area.
