I am making a rotary axis based on the Narosenberg design.
I have an OMTECH machine with a DM542T stepper motor controller .
I checked the configuration of the dip switches and it is configured for 3.5A full current and 5000 pulses/rev.
I am not quite sure what 5000 pulses/rev means. Does it mean 5000 pulses for 360 degrees of rotation?
I have tested temporarily connecting a NEMA 23 motor to the Y axis and the motor vibrates but does not run properly.
I can't find a datasheet for the DM542T controller.
Can anyone help me with the specifications of the motor?
