It energizes about 2 seconds after the receiver is turned on.
I was able to get the housing off by squeezing it lengthwise.
I verified that the contacts are closing when the coil is energized,
and I cleaned the contacts just to be sure.
Yeah, I said I was going to throw this Technics receiver away, but I
just can't...it's too nice.
I'm going to bite the bullet and take it to a repair shop next week.
If their estimate is more than I want to pay, they will buy the unit
from me, fix it, and resell it.
I'm dying to know what would cause it to quit the way it did.
