Pre-lit Christmas Tree Lights

My daughter has a pre-lit christmas tree with Led lights that can be told to stay clear, flash clear, stay colored or flash colored along with a couple of fading capabilities. The problem now is that some of the imbedded strings stay colored whens she turns to the clear. Any ideas?
