pioneer VSX-D307 A/V receiver help

I have a pioneer VSX-D307 A/V multi channel receiver and when I turn it on it will stay on for about 3 seconds then power off will blink on the display then it shuts itself off what could cause this?There is no speakers or anything hooked up to it,and also does anybody know how to do a factory reset on one from the unit itself because i have no remote.Thanks
