Outboard Solid State Relay resin???

Ok i dug out all the resin, that looked like black silicon, in a stator that were repairing. what would be a good replacement for the resin i removed, I was thinking about a high temp silicone. or is there somehting else i should use to cover the circuit board.

Is it possible to melt the resin you dug out?
Silicone can be corrosive while hardening (except for the two-part silicones). All silicones are high (enough) temperature btw.

I only used a heat gun, and somewhat lightly heated the resin, Not enought to melt it, but it made it brittle enought that with a small screwdriver, i was able to chip and scrap away all the resine, to expose the circuit board and all its componants.
Without heat. it was tough and rubbery, and impossible to remove. but with the heat you could acutally scrape it away with your fingernail.
Im now looking for something to replace the resine now that the board is repaired.
PS, this part(outboard motor stator) was $300.00, within the resine contained a capasitor, 2 resistors, diode, bridge rectifier, and a Sidac. prolly a total of $25.00 worth of parts.
