Newbie looking help with remote 12v linear actuator project

Hi guys!

Im a mechanic, used to have a complete passion for electronics but have forgotten all but the basics so was wondering can someone help out?

I am building an old vw campervan into a bar, and plan to have an elevating fibreglass roof as well as a drop down side.

I would like to build a system which can :

Lower the side panel using 2 linear actuators, one either side, and a few seconds after this operation starts, the roof panel, again 2 linear actuators will lift.

The desirables are a compact key ring style remote,
the delay of the roof lifting a few seconds until the side has started moving,
A 12v operation from a split charge/ leisure battery

I've seen these

Look at this on eBay
18" 12V Linear Actuator & Brackets Remote Controller 330lbs Max Lift for Camera

But to make a one touch operation would be ideal, although not essential.

Ideally if there was a system out there that was plug and play or anyone is willing to build it and I reward you would be great lol

Many thanks

Shane

Hi Shane, welcome to EP.
Do the actuators need to be on a travel timer, or do they stop when they reach their limit?
Thanks
Adam

You might try firgelli automations for more detailed info to get your project started. I sourced a nice 2 channel remote from them and they are all about linear actuators. Documentation was also good.
