Newbie in the Electronics Side

Hey, My name is Chris, I am from Edinburgh.

I currently studying IT at college, and one of my other hobbies is Automotive.

I just bought my first breadboard as I would love to learn electronics, I have a plan to make a few devices for cars so I am hoping you guys are able to help me on the way.

My brother in law is an electronic technician who I home can help me along the way too.

My plan is to have a fiddle for a little while then start making things such as a RPM Switch, Shift Light, and one day to make a Mock Engine so I can test and modify ECU's in the Nissan scene.

Yeah glad to be here, I have made a couple of simple LED breadboard with flashing and stuff using the 555 chip. I have just put an order in about getting some additional chips, resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes.

I have always wanted a Knight Light so I plan on making one, My friend has a Milling Machine he has recently purchased so he is looking to make use of it as he said it can cut circut boards, should be interesting.

Yeah something like that, there is a few diagrams kicking about for it, but I then want to try and work out how to add more lights to it,
