Newbie ask for Help

I am just starting out with PC Repair studies and would really welcome help
with things I need to work on computers.

What books do I NEED on my desk(dictionary and the like)?
Where is the best place to get kits, tools etc.?
Do I really need an Ocilloscope?
What is the best diagnostic software?
You get the idea any help would really be helpful!

Thanks

When I started repairing PCs my Bible was "Upgrading and Repairing
PCs" - not sure which is the leatest edition.
I've managed without an Oscilloscope so far, baisic tools in my
toolbox are:
a screwdriver, pair of twezzers, small box for holding all the little
screws, wire strips & snips, multimeter
Hope this helps
