Need signal generator help.

I'm not sure how to output a "modulated signal" from this little signal generator module that I have. The manual is in VERY broken English!

But, thanks for all your help and info, Duke!

Even if the signal is not modulated, you can use it.
Tune to a radio station, twiddle the generator around 450 to 500kHz and you will hear a whistle when the generator is close to the IF that the station is generating.

Well, I've put together 2 test tank circuits, and, by calculation, I feel certain I know what their resonant frequencies should be. And the little Robert Brown Frequency Finder agrees wholeheartedly. (I added a 2nd diode to that circuit, just across the banana plug jacks, cathode to the side that Brown labels as positive in his circuit diagram.) I am even able to get a good sense of "Q": the meter needle creeps up to a peak with one of the tank circuits, and then slowly creeps back down; while, with the 2nd tank circuit, the needle sort of goes BING! all of a sudden.

I've realized that the Rufus Turner Dip Adapter dips in all the same places, no matter what I put it next to: round about 360, 430, 560, 770, and 1250 kHz.

The capacitance clip that I made for my Lodestar DM-4061 Dip Meter (as described above) isn't doing anything for me. I put the dip meter next to my shortwave radio and it seems to impact the reception in all the right places, as I hit the scan button on the radio. But, I've yet to see this dip meter do anything meaningful next to a parallel coil/cap combo. So, I really have no idea what it's good for.

The exploration continues...
