Need recommendations for button/switch, springy and loud

I'm involved in a classic Star Trek prop project which requires replicating a button used on the show. The button in question is seen frequently on the show, most notably on the captain's chair. The buttons originally used are impossible to find, so I have to settle for a close approximation. I have resin copies of the button itself which I plan on gluing to the button cap of a momentary switch. I'd like to use a momentary switch which is very "springy" and makes a loud click when pressed. If anyone has recommendations for such a momentary switch, I would appreciate the advice.

Thanks...Jeff

If you can't find a suitably clicky button you could always wire it to trigger a loud clicky relay or solenoid to make the sound.

You could also use a ordinary PB that is modified with a custom made knob, and use a ISD1820 board, couple of $$ off ebay. As low as $1.70
You can record any sound you wish and it will play it back on an input closure.
e.g. I have a portable one wired up to an old garage TX/RX to my doorbell that I carry around in case I don't hear the door.!
It hollers out my name! :p :)

P.S. I fitted a better spkr than came with it..

Adam Savage from Mythbusters made a working replica of the captains chair.
You’ll find it on YouTube. It may have been in one of his one day builds.
