Need Articles on How Electricity Generates Heat

Title sums it up. If you want some details, I'm doing a science project and I need background research with four sources. I can't find anything on this topic that isn't another forum or something. All I need is a link to some sort of article. Doesn't need to be something from MIT or anything like that. Anything would help.

tip...similar on how friction causes heat.....now apply to an electrical circuit.
