Nato Jerry Can Spec?

Anyone know where I can get a spec for a (Nato?) Jerry Can? I bought
cans from CheaperThanDirt.com and spouts from generatorjoe.net and
they don't fit together. I'm sure there's plenty of finger pointing
to go around, but I can't seem to find a spec to determine which one
is wrong...

All my civilian metal cans (Blitz, etc.) will accept a 2" NPT pipe

Sorry, I should have specified that I've got the "rounded trapezoid"
shaped spouts with have a clamp mechanism to hold the spout to the
can. The sides of the trapezoid have been indented _just_ enough that
they don't fit...
