NaHCO3 , acid and motherboard

O

Orange

To clean up battery leak on motherboard (after removing NiCd) I used
sodium bicarbonate and a LOT of it. There is some white stuff now all
over where battery used to be (probably cause I used too much). Can
that sodium bicarbonate damage motherboard? (even after years have
passed?)
TIA

I'm fairly sure that the soda isn't reactive with any of the other circuit
board materials(or components).
You may be seeing some battery residue, or a delayed reaction that occured
from the trace residue as a result of the battery leakage.

Thanks Wild Bill, it really means much to me. I was afraid of having
to clean it all again and didn't know with what.. etc.
