Does anyone knows what is the model number and company name of the DSL
filter used with this alarm system ( Microtec Merlin RM600 ) ?

Does anyone knows if the " Z-BLOCKER® Z-A431PJ31X-A DSL Filter for
Residential Alarm Systems " would works if i install an RJ31X8 pin
phone jack ?

it should.. shouldn't be anything panel specific
about a dsl filter..just wire it so you don't lose
your line seizure.

That shouldn't be a problem. The Z-Blocker is a straight plug-in device.
Here's a link (my website) to details on it.

My price is retail. You're in the trade so you can order it wholesale from
your favorite distributor if you need one.

Reminds me of a brand I know........

yep...those are cool and save a lot of time.

i hardly ever have to use them though cause the panel i sell the most of has
no trouble sending over dsl without a filter.

Yeppers!

Everytime I install another panel..like today I did a Vista 15P and I leaf
through the 84 page manual to try to find one of the 194 or so programming
entrys...oh..wait there's an addendum...shit.. I say to myself...hmmmm WHY
didn't I bid this with you know what on this job. :)

I guess I'm spoiled. I can't wait till the next wireless job...definitely
gonna try the 1100.

Umm page 27 to 39 show each step in programming with an explaination, why
you'd want to leaf through all 84 is beyond me

perhaps i was exaggerating a tad for dramatic effect...but there is no reason why there should be a big install & programming book, a smaller programming guide, then assorted addendums in the books and also included in the keypad boxes...etc...not to mention the user guide. After your done with a job and put all the documentation in the job folder it's amost a 1/2 thick.

The program guide is a quick reference. All you need to know is in the
installation guide. The addendums never contain any pertinent information
anyway.

Why do you and Jim have such a hard time with Ademco manuals, when I feel the
Napco docs. are the ones that lack intuitiveness? Surely, I'm not the only one?

it might be just me but I never considered the installation manual all that
big, especially when compared to say a Napco 3200. What I don't care for is
the combined Vista-15P with the 20P which can be comfusing especially in the
user manual

And if you want a lot of addendums look no further than DSC
