Not so - all of the recent hard drives I've looked at have had the
jumpers,
IDE connector, and 4 pin power connector integrated into one piece of
plastic. The drive sitting on my desk - a Western Digital - has only that
single connector. I have some memory of seeing one of those with "Amp"
written on it - though I did not see that on the bottom of my Western
Digital (with the top being hidden from view) - so I could be wrong.

interesting, i've owned a bunch of hard drives, they all had separate
connectors. i haven't owned a laptop type hard disk, which has ata+power
integrated into a single dual row .1" connector. if you can't find the
connectors stock it probably means they're proprietary to the drive
manufacturer, if you really really want that type of connector and they
won't sell to you, tough titty, but it can't hurt to ask.
