Limited Lifetime warranty on memory cards?

Hello, I wonder about Limited Lifetime warranty on memory cards?

I have adata 16GB micro SDHC, that stopped working. Can't be detected at all.
It was just in a phone for 6years, and 4GB used.

Local seller has 2years wattanty, while adata advertises Limited Lifetime warranty.

Now who should replace the card?

2 year warranty is better than a lifetime warranty. With the latter they can just say it's past its lifetime (It's worse than that, it's dead Jim).

Is adata the manufacturer? If so, you could try them. The seller (especially if it was an auction on ebay) will be way past caring, and probably way past any legal responsibility.

The seller was a local retail shop. AFAIK they cant say "the latter they can just say it's past its lifetime" if they make 16GB cards, if they don't then that is true, because it's no longer made.

Well, you can always try the retailer. If you have no luck you could then try the manufacturer. I have no idea where you live (for all I know it could be Lithuania) so telling you what is likely to happen where I live is not going to help.
