Laser module from laser printer radiation caution

HI there folks. So upon opening up a laser printer I cam across a laser module that said I shouldn't open it because of invisible laser radiation class 3B. Do I open it or not? I would like that lens in there! no worries if not, always get plenty of goodies from printers.

I shouldn't open it because of invisible laser radiation class 3B.

There's no risk from the laser as long as it is not powered.
In no case open the unit while under power.
