Bottom third of picture missing/out of view, on jvc AV28XXXX, old CRT tv. Have been told it is probably a capacitor, but which one, where do I begin? Any help would be much appreciated!

If you have a schematic for the TV, you will be looking for a capacitor off of the vertical output IC near the pin that says "pump up" on it. It will be a electrolytic type. Its not a bad idea to replace all of the electolytic caps off of the vertical output at this point.
