Thanks a bunch for the reply. I tried emailing you back but your
spamblocker blocked me. This set came to me with the picture
split down the middle and swapped sides (left on right and vice-versa)
and
after a few minutes of power on it would go into ADDR mode. The
previous owners said the settings were changed by them
(unintentionally) due
to the ADDR mode randomly coming up while they used the remote. I
reset QA02 and that returned the picture to "normal". In some
instances,
ADDR mode would go out on it's own without problems and other times it
would shut down the set then turn it back on. After doing this a
couple
of times it eventually returned to the split screen problem. This is
my first Toshiba set, as I usually work on Sony and Rca. I was told
on
another message board it could be MPU or EPROM. Does this set have an
IC similar to the Jungle in Sony sets? The last two Sony RPTV's I
worked on were bad IC301's. I'm going to try and run self diagnostic
and
see if that flags anything. Is this a problem you have seen before?
I
suppose I could get by with signal diagrams of the MPU and related
systems. All other systems are unaffected (H,V, Conv, Color, Para,
etc).
Again, I appreciate the help (and crossing fingers for a simple
solution!).
