i'm a noob

well, today i just got a brand new xbox 360. i set it all up once, played it, and it worked fine. then i unplugged everything and moved it to a different room to see if i liked it more there. when i go to plug the main power cord it the socket, i see a small spark. i unplugged the cord and saw that one of the prong things was singed a little bit on the edge. i tried plugging it in again, but this time i just hear a small pop and took it back out.


i'm wondering, how safe is it to put it back in and see if it still works?

YOU just fryed the power supply i believe. your rooms are not wired correctly that is obvious there is common and nuetral. better check your plugs to begin with. YEAH you can try it again you cannot burn the house with that just blow a breaker. why you din' t blow the breaker because it is a small device needs 15 o more amps to blow the circuit breaker good luck
