Greetings! My name is Craig and I have no academic background in electrical engineering nor electronics. My first passion is the environment and as a result of that and limited funds/resources, I have developed a habit in reclaiming electronics from "trash" or "soon to be trash."
Everything I know about engineering electronics comes from internet research, but I have only been able to get so far. I have a very basic understanding of soldering/desoldering, Ohm's law, series and parallel circuits, basic components, etc. As a result, I have been able to mildly hack objects for my own use like switching out wires for screw terminals on PCBs, swap a 3.5mm headphone jack for a female auxiliary port, and jumping wires on computer PSU.
I am hoping to learn a thing or two by appending this forum to my research effort for this hobby. I look forward to our interactions and hope to be able to forward what knowledge I attain to members in the future!
