I'm a Carpenter, not an Electrical Engineer

I THINK, I've gotten past that first switch into the next switch, and now I'm extremely confused. I've removed the common ground from the first switch in the original diagram, and it makes it seem like it would work. The photo I'm attaching explains the intended function of the next switch in the circuit, what I think the output will be with my current drawing, and the switching logic for the switch in question. Damn! Talk about EYE TORTURE! I hope our younger members can see that print a whole lot better than me! o_O

You appear to have two pick-up coils in series. The switch shorts out one or the other to leave one coil doing the business. In the centre positon, the two coils are in series and you get the addition of the two signals. I do not see what the white wire does, it perhaps gives a ground reference but this may not be necessary, depending on the following amplifier.

I apologize, alphacam doesn't give me the option of changing line weights.

The white wire coming from the center of the pickup in the diagram is the shielding to prevent RF interference. So the first switch works correctly, now, does the second switch correctly select the coil taps for both coils separately and combined?
