I2C Implementation manually

Dear All,

I am working on a project which there is a I2C connection between an AVR micro controller and a TI DSP (TMS320F2812). The DSP has no any hardware I2C implementation and I have to implement I2C as software mode. I have a problem with implementation of I2C in software mode, and that is no response of the slave (AVR) though the address and the clocks are correct! Can any body help me? what problem may be the cause of the problem? I would be really appreciated if any body could help me!

Here is a description of a software i2c implementation for PICs. You may be able to port it to the DSP.
