HP 3581 Failed Tracking Oscillator

My HP 3581C has no signal from the tracking oscillator output on the back of the unit. It's a garage sale find and the unit seems to be working in all modes except for the tracking osc output. Has anybody investigated this problem? I'm not sure where to start.
