I did it once when I was 16........ and I did blow myself up. Spent 3 weeks
in hospital, but it could have terminal, I was so,so lucky... so have a go

Oh yeah they exist. We have one at work - the office landlord didn't
want us drilling holes in the walls, and our secretary is too far away
from the door (locked, need a keypass to get in) to hear a knock.

And it's loud.

No idea what the range is though.
