Honda eu10i inverter

Hi guys,
I need info on my inverter please.
I have a Honda eu10i inverter which seems to run ok, however, when I plug an item into the AC socket there is not enough power and inverter runs up and down erratically. Any idea on what is wrong. All items I have tried are below 800 watts. TIA

First check that you have clean fuel and air filter.

If your Honda is like my non-Honda unit then the carburettor is controlled using a small stepper motor and controlled electronically. Check that the shaft movement is free (not sticky) - this isn't easy but you could do worse than squirt some WD40 at it to help it anyway.
