CRT TVs are very old, they are not new.
When the image "repeats up and down" then it probably has a "Vertical Sync" problem, or the Nintendo system has the problem.
Some old CRT TVs had a Vertical Sync Adjustment pot.

That doesn't look like a Vertical Sync problem to me, as I remember seeing them, although it wouldn't hurt to look for a Vertical (세로?) dial and try it.

I did a few minutes' research and found there's still a market for salvaged/recovered/renovated CRTs in retro video gaming community, and that in some instances, CRTs are very much in demand because some of the old games designed for CRTs don't adapt well to LCD technology.

I actually came across an example recently, when I went shopping for an Arcade game, House of the Dead, that I was considering buying because I had so much fun with that game in the early 2000's. Unfortunately the only HoD game I could find for what I was willing to spend, had a CRT that seemed too small to let me aim accurately (I'm not your typical spray-and-pray shooter). Anyway, from what I read, the targeting technology depended on using a CRT screen, and finding and buying a large CRT would have driven my cost through the roof. To my surprise, I found almost 47,000 items when I searched CRT on eBay, and some of them are pretty cheap, for the CRT; but shipping a CRT is darned expensive.

Anyway, GBboy, keep checking in here and maybe some expert in the retro gaming community will weigh in on your problem.

EDIT: Oops, GBboy, you posted while I was still composing. I'm going to leave this post here anyway.
Out of curiosity, are you posting from Korea? I was wondering if it was easier to find CRTs in Asia? I know the CRTs were on the market longer there.

Hi thanks for ur helping!
i readed ur post and it was pretty interesting and helpful

By the way How did u know that im korean?

And vertical=세로 is correct but 수직(선) is more accurate
Vertical=수직선 horizon=수평선 horizontal=수평
Verticality=수직 line=선

How to pronunciation 수=su 직=jik 평=pyeong
선=son

I searched on internet and found this forum and posted my question.

Well, in the picture in your 1st post, with calendar date in Korean format (2020년(year) 1월(month) 17 일(day) in the upper left corner gives a pretty good clue.

Thanks for the correction and etymology tutorial. I find that kind of word derivation interesting.

선=son
Again, thanks for the tutorial, but I can actually "read" hanguk (한국어)---meaning, I can look at the script and pronounce the words (badly), even though I usually don't know what I'm saying. My vocabulary is very rudimentary.

I gather you learned some of your English from movies or internet? Most Americans will understand you when you use "problemo", because it's commonplace slang; but most of us usually say the proper word, "problem."

They stopped making CRTs here in America years before they did in Asia, so it's harder to find them locally at junkyards, recycling, etc--we can still find them on used market websites, like ebay, but although we have a bigger population to search from, the distances to sellers tend to be vast and shipping costs are most often high. You can probably find better deals in Korea, unless we get lucky and find one nearby on ebay.
