Help identify electronic components

hi
I have a resistor which has a colour code that reads
orange, orange ,sliver,gold,black
but I don't know what value it should be .
I found it in a power supply board,
it gives me a reading of 0.5 ohms with my multimeter

can someone help me identify what it's value should be

thanks

Are you testing the resistor out of circuit? What kind of ohm meter are you using? What makes you suspicious of this resistor?

yes I am testing the resistor out of cct and am using a FLUKE 114 multimeter.
The reason I think that the he resistor is bad is because with the multimeter it gives a reading of 0.5 omhs,
it's connected to a STR (W6053s)

thanks

close enough at such small values

thanks guys for the help.
it turns out that the resistor is good after all , I found out that a couple of GBJT was shorted

I did not NOT look up to see if the 114 has ohmmic nulling compensation.

BUT if not . . . . . on reading LOOOW values like that in the future.

Plug and unplug your probes into the meter.
Clean the probe tips of all oxide .

Then place in the low range ohms and short together your probe tips and thereby you are measuring your induced, total lead and connector resistance error.

Remeasure your resistor, but this time, factor in those resistance errors, by subtracting them from the displayed resistance being read out..
