That is correct.
BTW, I prefer to spend money on the other end, IOW a 3 ph choke between the output and the motor, especially if it is an older, non-vector rated motor.

Its actually a brand new Leeson motor rated for VFD .. I got Lutz Drive flex wire for that end, thought id also throw some ferrite chokes on the leads coming out of VFD that go to motor side

The most efficient is the 3ph choke intended for the purpose.
On the input side, the first thing in line is a 3ph rectifier and a large bank of electrolytic capacitors, so the input is pretty well damped at that point.
