Heating Belt for Brewing

I purchased a couple of these which arrived today

Using the 240 volt mains supply here in UK the belts are getting too hot.
If I could step the voltage and watts down to 220v and 30w would this make the belts operate at the correct temperature ?
If yes then what do I need to achieve this

If only 30w you could use one of the dimmer style controls.
A ceiling fan version should work at that wattage.

Says in the description below the purchase item you can regulate the temp.

The heat can be regulated by moving the brew belt higher or lower on the vessel.

I built myself a brewing cupboard from an old packing crate, holds up to four carboys.
A slim under desk leg warmer panel was used to heat it, this is a very thin glass fronted low wattage heater unit.
The heater is controlled by wiring up to a ordinary wall mount heating thermostat.
Works great.

I see some on ebay for 220V will these work in the UK on our 240 V mains system ?

They should be OK, they are not made to that close of tolerances.
The normal industrial standard is +- 10%.
It has been some years, but isn't UK 230v now?

The UK used to be 240V and some european countries were 220V.
The UK has not changed in practise but follows the european standard which is now
230V +10% -6% that is 216.2V to 253V
I get 240V consistently

Presumably the standard was made wide enough so that no distribution equipment needed to be changed.
